In spring 2005 Hüttinger along with their partners Dr. Peter Anderson and Jerome Krause won the design contract for the so called Petal E of the center theming “The Green Cradle” and “The Dream of Space Flight”. The design phase was successfully accomplished in fall 2005 and Hüttinger was then acting as the technical supervisor for local firms that worked on the implementation of the concept.
When can we travel into space? How can we take care of our spaceship Earth? Green Cradle and Dream of Space Flight set out to answer these questions, in ways that children and adults will find fascinating and understandable. The main focus is China and the Pearl River delta, but the broader focus is world-wide. The interior design of the entrances to the gallery make the visitors quickly become aware of the two themes and they enter a space full of engaging and memorable activities.
