In August 2002, Hüttinger was awarded a contract to design and fabricate 35 hands-on exhibits for initially furnishing the Phæno Science centre. In June 2003, Hüttinger was also awarded the contract to design and build the Cell Lab, an open access wet-lab exhibit area theming „microbiology“ and „gene engineering“. Apart from that, Hüttinger was also contracted to develop and produce the exhibit graphics and the texts in German and English for all 250 interactive experimental stations.
