Back in the year 2015, we were commissioned to develop and manufacture a large sculpture of a needle bearing for the main entrance in Herzogenaurach/Niederndorf. Almost 10 years later, on the occasion of the construction of the new central laboratory, we were commissioned to design and build a second version of this 3 m tall sculpture, to be placed in front of the new building. An integrated and adjustable LED lighting concept brings the sculpture to 'life' and simulates the movement of a bearing. In October 2024, with the inauguration of the new central laboratory, the sculpture was made accessible to the public.
