Development, Design and Build: Foucault Pendulum and Rzeka gallery

At the end of 2012 we were awarded the contract for the development, design and construction of a giant Foucault pendulum and the gallery Rzeka - The River.
The heart of the new Science Center is now Poland's longest continuously swinging Foucault pendulum, which demonstrates Earth's rotation. A 30 kg heavy chrome ball swings on a more than 33 metre long pendulum, mounted under the roof all the way down to the ground floor .
Rzeka – The River contains a huge, stylized water course of the Vistula river, from it's spring to it's mouth. Based on 22 interactive experiments and experiences one can discover biological and hydrological phenomena. Three tons of stainless steel were used for the construction of Rzeka, approx. 1,100 cubic metre water will flow through the entire system each year - Rzeka is currently the largest interactive water course exhibit in Poland. Centrum Nowoczesnosci was officially opened to the public on November 9, 2013.
