In September 2006 we were approached by the National Science Center of Thailand, to develop a system for a traveling exhibition. The objective of this concept is to reach out to institutions across the country and convey exciting principles and processes from the field of science and technology. The prime targets are children and young adults who are presented with scientific content during their formal education, which is to be complemented by this traveling exhibition. The intention is to involve the students in scientific experiments, to capture their attention and stimulate their learning. The message to be conveyed through multiple media is supposed to support an appreciation of science and technology, but also to draw attention to the social and ecological consequences of new developments. We designed and built a traveling exhibition consisting of 35 interactive hands-on exhibits referring to mathematics, mechanics, magnetism, electricity, optics & light and perception.
