In June 1999 we were contracted for the conception, design and fabrication of hands-on exhibits and a large-scale kinetic sculpture.
ENERGY is an exhibit and, at the same time, a work of art. It is on the groud floor and extends into the second level as an eye-catcher and an outsize sensation of Technopolis. This exhibit explains the law of conservation of energy in an impressive way. By pressing the Start button, balls can be released on to the track where they pass through different stations. These stations are, at the same time, an aesthetic, an artistic as well as an educational element.
After eight months work, Technopolis was officially opened to the public on February 25, 2000.
