CO₂-free power plant

The exhibit of the Vattenfall pilot plant uses a 1:100-scale model to illustrate the CO2-free operating principle of the power plant using the oxy-fuel process. What it shows are the technical plant components as well as the buildings with façade design and structural details. These elements are made of glazed acrylic glass and light up individually depending on the position of the monitor on the model. Conveyor belt bridges and pipes are provided with directed running lights. The monitor scanner can be moved manually round the model in a 150° angle. The position of the monitor is scanned by sensors and, corresponding to its position on the model, causes animated process diagrams from the various plant sections to be displayed on the monitor screen. Used in combination with the exhibition wall, this model provides a complete presentation of the comprehensive climate protection strategy and the development of innovative oxy-fuel technology, including its storage for a future-oriented energy supply.
