Water Printer

As part of our work for VIDA! science centrum we developed, designed and manufactured a Water Printer for the Voda (Water) Gallery.
The Water Printer presents intricate waterfalls that look like images from a dot matrix printer. This is one amazing technique to create shapes and letters with water flowing downwards. It’s pretty much like old dot matrix printers creating figures on the paper, one dot at a time but this is with water drops. These fountains were dubbed 'water printers', because they use complex computer-controlled releases of water droplets from thousands of tiny spigots to create amazingly intricate waterfalls that are illuminated by lights to look like images from a dot matrix printer. They display graphics that include names or other messages, flowers, animals, geometrics, or abstract designs.
