In October 2006, Hüttinger was awarded the contract for the conceptual design, planning and fabrication of exhibits for the internal finishing of the Ferrodrom® Science Centre in Völklinger Hütte. It makes every effort to become an interactive informal learning experience themed around the elements fire, water, earth and air. Exciting hands-on exhibits help visitors to under-stand the technological processes of the past, by allowing them to make the same observations by which early steel makers were guided. The exhibition was opened to the public on 1st April 2007 at the opening of the season.
