Caution High Voltage!

In November 2002, Hüttinger developed the concept for the exhibition. With this documentation, the museum succeeded in attracting E.ON Bayern AG and N-ERGIE Nürnberg as sponsors. In the spring of 2003, Hüttinger was awarded the contract for executing the project, and, thus, the exhibition could be opened to the public in May 2004.  With Caution High Voltage! we wanted to demonstrate that the international “interaction“ trend can successfully be used for the further development of the Industrial Culture Museum in Nuremberg. This is why one answer to the question asked at the beginning might be: the museum must adapt to the needs of the people and offer them real tactile and conceivable experiences. In this context, we are offered the unique opportunity of using artefacts and interactive exhibits in one exhibition, without irritating the visitors (what may I touch and where must I not touch anything?!), for even the exhibited artefacts are freely accessible and may be used by the visitors.
